Located in Little Mountain, South Carolina sits a small woodshed where Richard Kinard can be found. To many this area is known as Kinard Hill and for nearly eight decades a majority of the Kinard family has called it their home.
Richard has been working in the wood industry for the better part of six decades. His career began as a child working in his father’s sawmill. By the time he graduated from high school he bought himself a truck, and began hauling a pulpwood around the state of South Carolina in order to make a living.
Since retirement, Richard spends most of his time at the woodshed, splitting wood awaiting the winter months.
